This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment.

  ABOUT US: 

The Brick Wrestling Club is an elite level supplemental wrestling club training Elementary, Middle & High School wrestlers. With a coaching staff led by a team of former Division I wrestlers, the Brick Wrestling Club was founded on the principles of helping good wrestlers become ELITE. We have created a network of coaches that are not only available for practices but will also be available for private lessons.  Both one-on-one and small group sessions will be available to all who is interested. The goal of The Brick Wrestling Club is to prepare ALL members to achieve the highest levels of success at the Youth, High School and eventually the Collegiate level. The average member is 10 years old and older, with at least 3 years of wrestling experience.

 

Time and location:

Grandview High School Wrestling Room (20500 E Arapahoe Rd, Aurora, CO 80016)

MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS 6:00pm-7:30pm

 

Sessions & Cost: 

The Brick wrestling club will consist of 3 sessions a year, FALL, WINTER & SPRING. 1st practice is Wednesday Sept 4th.

FALL: SEPT 5th - NOV 5th     COST: $150

WINTER: NOV 7th – FEB 27th COST: $250

 SPRING: MARCH 4th – June 1st COST:  $150

Private lessons:

All Brick Wrestling Club members will have access to private lessons with the coach of their choosing. Private lessons allow a young athlete to work closely with a specific coach and utilize a more dedicated style of coaching, without the distractions of a room full of teammates. Private lessons will enable athletes to focus on problem areas, strategize for upcoming matches and go through video review. All sessions are 1 hr. and must be booked in blocks of 4.

COACHES:

ERIC WILSON: Head Coach

Eric has made a return to Colorado after a 4 year coaching career in Columbia, MO. In High School, Eric was a four-time state qualifier and three-time Colorado State placer, finishing 3rd, 1st, and 2nd (2007-2009). Eric was a four-time league champion and three-time regional champion during his time at Grandview and helped his team to two top-10 finishes at the State Championships, finishing as high as third in 2008. Eric then chose to continue his wrestling career at the University of Missouri, and spent the next five seasons competing for the Tigers. He went on to be a four-time letter winner for the Tigers, compiling a record of 84-39. Upon graduating, Eric began coaching at Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, MO and held the Head Coaching position for 2 years, whiling completing his Master’s degree in Education.

 

DAN BRASCETTA: Head Asst. Coach

Dan wrestled for Grandview from 2000-2005, was a two-time Regional Champion and state finalist in 2005. Dan was on the Colorado Dual Team from 2001-2005 and the Colorado National Team from 2002-2005. In college, Dan wrestled for Oregon State with one of his brothers, Jonny. Dan was a four-time letter winner at OSU and was a PAC 10 finalist in 2010. Also, during his time at Oregon State, Dan was a Greco All-American, placing 6th at University Nationals.

 

TODD PORTER

A native of House Springs, Mo., Todd captured 103 wins during his college career at the University of Missouri at Columbia, including a 34-12 record as a senior, en route to an appearance at the NCAA Division I Championships. He served as a team captain during the 2012-13 season and helped the Tigers to a Big 12 Championship in 20012 and MAC Conference Championship in 2013. He was named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll from 2008-2013 and earned the Academic Achievement Award in 2011-12. Porter also earned the Iron Man Award and Most Improved Athlete Award in 2012-13 for the Tigers. He has also served as a camp counselor, technique instructor and motivational speaker at the Tiger Style Wrestling camps.

 

MIKE MONAGHAN: Heavyweight Specialist

Mike Grew up and wrestled in the Chicagoland area where he was a two-time All-West Suburban Conference wrestler at 215lbs. He finished his high school varsity career with a record of 89-14. Mike then went on to the University of Missouri where he was a multisport athlete where he played lacrosse and was a heavyweight on the wrestling team.

 

JON BRASCETTA

Jon was a three-time State Placer during his time at Grandview, placing 6th, 3rd and was Grandview’s first State Champion in 2006. He was also a Colorado National Team Member and Colorado Dual Team Member from 2003-2006. Jon wrestled with Dan at Oregon State University from 2006-2011. During his time at OSU, Jon was a four-time letter winner, 3rd in the Pac 10 and Junior World Team Bronze medalist in 2008.

 

RYAN BUDD

Ryan was a four-time State Qualifier, three-time State Placer and High School All-American. Ryan wrestled Division I in the PAC 10 and he was a 3-year starter and varsity letter winner for the Cal State Fullerton Titans. Ryan is the current head coach at Grandview High School & in his 4 years as head coach, Ryan has led the wolves to 4 top 10 state places finishes, 5 straight Centennial League Championships and has compiled an overall dual record of 74-7.

 

BEN MENZOR

Ben is a former Colorado National Team Member and State Placer that is now entering his 13th season as a Youth & High School Wrestling Coach. In his 13 years, Ben has coached over 100 Youth State Placers and Champions, as well as a multitude of National Placers and Champions. He was the 2014 National Wrestling Hall of Fame – Colorado Chapter's Youth Coach of the Year. Under his tutelage his youth programs have never finished lower than 4th place at the State Tournament, including 3 State Titles and 5 Runner-Up finishes.
